As others have reported, there were two shocks a couple of minutes apart. First earthquake we have experienced here - it took us a while to get back to sleep! Checking now for any damage.

Becuase of the duration and the strenght, I could say it was a bit close to Athens and that it was more than 6! 5.8R seems to "poor". The aftershock was felt too (reported through EMSC)

I have felt this many times during other earthquakes. Maybe it is the 1st waves coming. I did suspect this earthquake was probably not nearby but it was too obvious to miss.
