Ibu volcano (Halmahera, Indonesia): sporadic vulcanian activity continues

The volcano observatory PVMBG reported that the explosive activity continues from the active crater with occasional ash emissions that reached 6,000 ft-7,000 ft (1,800 m-2,100 m) altitude and drifted W direction.

The seismic instruments recorded approx. 350 volcano-tectonic earthquakes today.
The warning bulletin states that ballistic impacts of volcanic bombs and pyroclastic flows could affect an area of about 3.5 km distance from the main crater.
An impressive video, attached below, depicts a continuous degassing activity on 12 July as steam and gas emissions have been venting from the crater.

PVMBG reported that during 18-24 August gray-and-white ash plumes from Ibu rose 200-800 m above the summit and drifted N, W, and NW.
