Lava flow on Karangetang volcano on 23 Sep 2015
Lava flow on Karangetang volcano on 23 Sep 2015
The lava flow on the volcano remained active during the last week of September when our correspondent Andi visited the island during 22-25 Sep:
" Karangetang erupted big in 7th May 2015 and covered one village in the north flank with ash and folowed buried some houses by its lahar. Activity remains high alert in level 3 indicated with lots of harmonic tremors, shallow and deep volcanic tremors, and incandescent rock falls occur frequently so far. Summit morfology of the summit also has changed threatening some villages in the south as well."
