Lewotolok volcano (Lembata Island) - Smithsonian / USGS Weekly Volcanic Activity Report for 19 October-25 October 2022 (Continuing Activity)

PVMBG reported that the eruption at Lewotolok continued during 18-25 October. Daily white emissions rose as high as 600 m above the summit and drifted in multiple directions. During 22-23 October white-and-gray plumes rose as high as 500 m and drifted W.
The Alert Level remained at 3 (on a scale of 1-4) and the public was warned to stay 3 km away from the summit crater and 4 km away from the crater on the SE flank.
