Nishinoshima volcano (Japan) - Smithsonian / USGS Weekly Volcanic Activity Report for 18 November-24 November 2015 (Continuing Activity)

According to a news article from 22 November, recent footage (from the previous week) of Nishinoshima showed that the eruption was ongoing with explosion from the central crater and lava flows. The new island was 1.9 km E to W, 1.95 km N to S, and 100 m high, based on Coast Guard reports.

Nishino-shima volcano (Japan): eruption continues, new bathymetric report

Strombolian activity at Nishinoshima on 18 Oct 2015 (Japan Coast Guard)

The eruption that had started in Nov 2013 still continues with no significant changes. During the most recent survey on 18 Oct by the Japanese Coast guard, strombolian activity was observed at the central vent, but lava flows no longer reached the coast of the young island, which is being affected and modified by wave erosion.
