Mild activity continues at the intra-crater cone of the Mackenney crater. INSIVUMEH reports a steam and gas plume rising 600 m and glow from lava visible at night.

During our visit at the volcano this morning, the first direct observation of the crater was possible following a period of 5 days of bad weather. When we climbed the crater rim, we observed violent, continuous lava spattering from the central vent on an intra-crater cinder cone inside Mackenney crater. ... [mehr]

Weak, deep-seated explosive activity continues inside the Mackenney crater. INSIVUMEH reports moderate degassing creating a plume of 150-200 m height with pulsating emissions of bluish gas. At night, weak glow is visible from the crater. [mehr]
