Incandescence from Pacaya volcano on 9 February (image: Sentinel 2)INSIVUMEH recorded that the strombolian activity continues to be observed from the Mackenney summit crater with incandescent material thrown at an approx. height of 75 to 100 meters.
Lava flow on the southwestern flank remain active, currently about 300 m long.
The seismic stations record internal tremor associated with degassing, rise of magma and constant strombolian explosions.
In addition, white and blue fumarole occured. The plumes were dispersed towards the SW direction.
