The photos on this page were all taken during our recent tour to Hawaii in March 2006, and show the strong lava lake activity inside one of Kilauea's pit craters on the Eastern rift zone, where the magma emerges for the first time, before disappearing into lava tubes and travelling about 15 km downhill until entering the ocean at Lae`Apuki.
