Popocatépetl volcano (Mexico) activity update: one explosion with incandescent fragments
CENAPRED recorded one explosion at 02:33 local time that ejected incandescent fragments as far as 500 m away from the crater. An ash plume rose 3,280 ft (1,000 m) above the summit crater and drifted NE.
Additionally recorded 325 minutes of tremor and 101 emissions of water vapor, gases and light ash content.
