A small emission of gas and some ash was reported by Buenos Aires VAAC. In fact, a diluted plume of gas, steam, and possibly some volcanic ash is visible on satellite images from yesterday and this morning.
However, the ash if present might have been picked up by winds. It is unclear whether the volcano has actually erupted and new ash. SERNAGEOMIN has not reported any unusual activity and keeps the volcano's status at green (normal).

MODIS / Terra satellite image 14 Dec showing a plume drifting N from Puyehue
Sonntag, Dez 15, 2013
A significant ash(?) plume was spotted on Terra's satellite images yesterday afternoon. Since there are no other reports suggesting that a (larger in this case) eruption has occurred (e.g. heat signals, eyewitness reports, webcam), it seems likely that the plume was from wind-mobilized ash from the 2011-12 eruption. ... ONEMI has decreased the alert level of the volcano for the nearby villages (Futrono, Lago Ranco,Río Bueno, Puyehue) to the lowest level "alerta Temprana". Seismic activity has decreased and there is no mor tremor recorded. SERNAGEOMIN has also reduced the activity level back to green. [mehr]
