Based on interpretations of seismic data, ash plumes rose to an altitude of 7 km (23,000 ft) a.s.l. on 25 and 26 December, and to an altitude of 5.5 km (18,000 ft) a.s.l. on the other days during the reporting period.

There are still strong eruptions on the crater summit that produce ash avalances, pyroclastic flows and ash plumes. The lava dome is growing.
