The lava dome continues to grow slowly and explosions could occur any time.
According to video data, the volcano is steaming and there is incandescence above the dome. Seismicity is moderate, and satellite data show a thermal anomaly.

Mild ash emissions occurred during the night. An ash plume drifting at 6,500 ft / 2 km altitude carried by strong northwesterly winds was detected on satellite images at >340 km distance at 00:32 GMT earlier today. [mehr]

Weak seismic activity and occasional small explosions continue, and a thermal anomaly is visible at the volcano indicating continuing slow lava dome growth (calculated to 2.6 m3/second). The KVERT webcam showed an ash eruption on 20 Sep. [mehr]

A new explosion occurred at Sheveluch volcano on 23:19 GMT on 17 Sep. Based on pilot observations, VAAC Anchorage reports an ash plume to flight level 270, i.e. 27,000 ft altitude (about 8 km). The ash plume is moving rapidly to the SE. [mehr]
