The lava dome continues to grow inside the open summit crater. An explosion and partial collapse occurred in the evening of 3 Oct, producing a pyroclastic flow and associated ash plume that rose to 6.5 km altitude.

A moderately sized eruption occurred Thursday evening and produced an ash plume that rose to approx. 18,000 ft (5.4 km) altitude. Minor, near continuous ash venting has been intermittently visible on webcam imagery since. [mehr]
