Seismic signal this evening (STR8 statiion, INGV)
A strong increase of activity occurred this afternoon. A relatively large, sustained lava flow has started to erupt from the breached NE cone and descend the Sciara del Fuoco. The process is accompanied by ongoing strong strombolian eruptions, mainly from the same NE vent, and strong continuous tremor.
You can follow this live at webcams.volcanodiscovery.com/Stromboli.
Vorherige Nachrichten
Seismic signal from Stromboli (ST8 station, INGV)
Montag, Apr 08, 2013
No significant changes have occurred recently. The seismic signal shows medium tremor levels with phases of medium to high values, and there are frequent (about 10 per hour), sometimes quite powerful strombolian explosions from the various active vents. Small amounts of lava sometimes overspill from the NE vent. [mehr]
Current seismic signal from Stromboli (ST8 station, INGV)
Donnerstag, Apr 04, 2013
Seismic activity remains elevated and accompanies strong explosions, mainly from the NE vent. No recent lava overflows occurred. [mehr]
