Taal (Luzon, Philippines): (17 Nov) Two small explosions occurred at the volcano earlier today, at 1:46 a.m. and 2:54 a.m. local time. According to the observatory, they were caused by interaction of magma with water at shallow depth, known as phreatomagmatic activity.
They generated ash and steam plumes that could be seen on the thermal camera rising 4-500 m each. The corresponding seismic signals showed they lasted 1 and 2 minutes, respectively.

Fernandina (Galápagos Islands, Ecuador): (18 Nov) The local volcano observatory reported that a fumarolic activity has been detected in the volcano's crater area during the past few days as well as a small number of periods of volcanic tremor that may be likely related to fumarolic activity, another typical sign for the impending eruption.
The significant ground deformation was measured during the period between Feb 2020 and October 2021 as we reported in the latest report.

La Palma (Canary Islands (Spain)): After almost 2 months of continuous eruption, there are no signs it might end soon. On the contrary, the activity - both external and internal (seismic) - has continued to intensify today again, with strong ash emissions during extended phases and more surface lava flows near the vent as well as downslope. Volcanic tremor has been increasing, suggesting that the rate of magma flowing towards and erupting at the surface also has become higher again. ... Read all
