A volcanic ash plume extending 120 km to the NE was spotted this morning by VAAC Darwin.

Ash emissions from the volcano remain intense, suggesting near continuous ash-venting activity inside the crater. Almost every day, VAAC Darwin reports ash plumes drifting from the volcano as altitudes around 7,000 ft (2.1 km) and extending several tens of kilometers.

Strong, often near-continuous ash emissions continue at the volcano. Yesterday, VAAC Darwin reported an ash plume extending 70 km to the NE.

Continuous ash emissions are being observed from the volcano, generating plumes at 2-3 km altitude that drift up to 70-80 km to the east (Darwin VAAC).
Thursday, Aug 27, 2015
Activity remains intense. Darwin VAAC spotted ash emissions that rose 1-2 km above the volcano and drifted up to 100 km to the west.
Friday, Aug 21, 2015
Several ash plumes have been observed during the past days rising from the volcano and drifting up to 50 km NE.
