Earthquakes reported felt:

#1: 5.6 quake: 3.9 Km WNW of Krýsuvík, Iceland, 20 Oct 2020 13:43 - 370 reports

An earthquake of magnitude 5.4 occurred only 12 minutes ago, the German Research Centre for Geosciences in Potsdam (GFZ) reported. The quake hit at a shallow depth of 10 km (6.2 miles) beneath the epicenter around noon on 20 October at 1.43 pm local time. The magnitude, exact epicenter location and depth could be revised within the next few minutes as the agency updates and refines its calculations, or as other agencies issue their report.
Our monitoring service at VolcanoDiscovery also identified a second report from the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) which listed the quake at magnitude 5.1.
Based on the preliminary seismic data, the quake should have been widely felt by almost everyone in the area of the epicenter. It might have caused light to moderate damage.
Towns and cities near the epicenter that are likely to be affected include Hafnarfjörður (pop. 26,800) in 13 km (8 miles) distance with moderate ground shaking expected, Garðabær (pop. 11,400) in 16 km (10 miles) distance, moderate ground shaking expected, Kópavogur (pop. 31,700) in 18 km (11 miles) distance, moderate ground shaking expected, Reykjavík (pop. 118,900) in 21 km (13 miles) distance, moderate ground shaking expected.
This story will be updated soon by VolcanoDiscovery. If you’re in the area, please send us your experience through our reporting mechanism. This will help us provide more first-hand updates to anyone around the globe who wants to know more about this quake.
The quake occurred in the area of Krísuvík volcano, a system of eruptive fissures, basaltic crater rows and small shield volcanoes on the central Reykjanes Peninsula, which is part of the active tectonic spreading zone of SW Iceland.
The area is also volcanically very active. Several eruptions from this area are documented to have occurred between the 11th and 14th century AD. In recent months, seismic activity along the Reykjanes peninsula has been elevated and has been found to be related to magma intrusion in the rift zone.
Today's quake has been the largest in the area so far during the current year. Whether it is caused by tectonic movements or magma movements, or both, and whether it could be a precursor to new volcanic activity is not known at the moment, but cannot be ruled out.
A large part of Iceland's population could have felt the earthquake. During the first 15 minutes, we received more than 100 user reports of people who felt it. Mild shaking was perceived in the capital Reykjavik. There are no reports of damages.

#2: 3.4 quake: 10km ESE of Willits, CA, USA, 20 Oct 2020 01:59 - 22 reports
#3: 3.0 quake: 7.7 Km SSW of Helgafell, Iceland, 20 Oct 2020 13:51 - 11 reports
#4: 2.9 quake: 2.7 Montenegro, 20 Oct 2020 20:33 - 9 reports
#5: 3.1 quake: 5 Km WNW of Houston, Alaska, USA, 20 Oct 2020 15:14 - 8 reports

A magnitude 3.2 earthquake was reported 1 hour and 32 minutes ago by the United States Geological Survey (USGS), considered the key international and national agency that monitors seismic activity in the US. The earthquake occurred at an intermediate depth of 46 km (29 miles) beneath the epicenter in the morning on 20 October at 7.14 am local time. Magnitude and other quake parameters can still change within the next hours as the agency continues to process the seismic data.
Our monitoring service at VolcanoDiscovery also identified a second report from the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) which listed the quake at magnitude 3.3.
Towns and cities near the epicenter where the quake might have been felt, based on preliminary calculations, include Houston (pop. 2,200) in 5 km (3 miles) distance with very weak shaking expected, Willow (pop. 2,100) in 13 km (8 miles) distance, very weak shaking expected, Eagle River (pop. 24,800) in 40 km (25 miles) distance, very weak shaking expected, Anchorage (pop. 298,700) in 47 km (29 miles) distance.

#6: 3.1 quake: FRANCE - 14km De Saint-Nazaire, 20 Oct 2020 21:25 - 7 reports
#7: 3.1 quake: 4.5 Km ESE of Keilir, Iceland, 20 Oct 2020 14:04 - 6 reports

#9: 3.6 quake: 30 Km SSW of Reykjavik, Iceland, 20 Oct 2020 15:33 - 4 reports
#10: 3.4 quake: 21km SW of Ocotillo Wells, CA, USA, 20 Oct 2020 10:30 - 3 reports

A magnitude 3.4 earthquake near Ocotillo Wells, California, was reported only 12 minutes ago by the United States Geological Survey (USGS), considered the key international and national agency that monitors seismic activity in the US. The quake occurred at a very shallow depth of 6.8 km (4.2 miles) beneath the epicenter early morning on 20 October at 3.30 am local time.
The magnitude, exact epicenter location and depth could be revised within the next few minutes as the agency updates and refines its calculations, or as other agencies issue their report.
Our monitoring service at VolcanoDiscovery also identified a second report from the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) which listed the quake at magnitude 3.4 as well.
Based on the preliminary seismic data, the quake should not have caused any significant damage, but was probably felt by many people as light vibration in the area of the epicenter.
Towns and cities near the epicenter where the quake might have been felt, based on preliminary calculations, include Mt Laguna (pop. 100) in 20 km (12 miles) distance with weak shaking expected, Borrego Springs (pop. 3,400) in 29 km (18 miles) distance, very weak shaking expected, San Diego Country Estates (pop. 10,100) in 46 km (29 miles) distance, very weak shaking expected, Alpine (pop. 14,200) in 48 km (30 miles) distance, very weak shaking expected.
