#1: 3.9 quake 16 km SSE of Glarus, Switzerland, 10 Nov 1.53 pm (GMT +1) - 30 reports

The German Research Centre for Geosciences (GFZ) reported a magnitude 4.0 quake in Switzerland near the village of Mühlehorn only 4 minutes ago. The earthquake hit around noon on Tuesday 10 November 2020 at 1.53 pm local time at a shallow depth of 10 km. The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might be revised within the next few hours or minutes as seismologists review data and refine their calculations, or as other agencies issue their report.
Based on the preliminary seismic data, the quake was probably felt by many people in the area of the epicenter. It should not have caused significant damage, other than objects falling from shelves, broken windows, etc. Weak shaking might have been felt in Mühlehorn (pop. 400) located 4 km from the epicenter, Obstalden (pop. 500) 4 km away, Filzbach (pop. 500) 5 km away, Quarten (pop. 2,700) 6 km away, Mollis (pop. 3,000) 7 km away, Zürich (pop. 341,700) 57 km away, and Winterthur (pop. 91,900) 58 km away.
