Small magnitude 3.8 quake hits 26 miles northeast of Beatty, Nevada in the morning

3.8 quake 112 miles SE of Mina, Nevada, 13 Nov 9.17 am (GMT -8)
A second report was later issued by the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC), which listed it as a magnitude 2.0 earthquake.
Based on the preliminary seismic data, the quake should not have caused any significant damage, but was probably felt by many people as light vibration in the area of the epicenter. Weak shaking might have been felt in Beatty (pop. 1000) located 26 miles from the epicenter.
Towns or cities near the epicenter where the quake might have been felt as very weak shaking include Goldfield (pop. 300) located 45 miles from the epicenter.
