Light magnitude 4.7 quake hits 124 km southwest of Kedungwaru, Indonesia in the morning

Just 14 minutes ago, a 4.7-magnitude earthquake struck near Trenggalek, Indonesia. The tremor was recorded in the morning on Sunday 29 November 2020 at 10.34 am local time, at a shallow depth of 10 km below the surface.

The event was filed by the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC), the first seismological agency to report it.
Based on the preliminary seismic data, the quake should not have caused any significant damage, but was probably felt by many people as light vibration in the area of the epicenter. Weak shaking might have been felt in Trenggalek (pop. 29,100) located 113 km from the epicenter, Boyolangu (pop. 32,300) 118 km away, Tulungagung (pop. 65,300) 123 km away, and Kedungwaru (pop. 80,300) 124 km away.
