An earthquake of magnitude 3.5 occurred only 7 minutes ago 11 miles southwest of Fernley, Nevada, the United States Geological Survey (USGS) reported.

The quake hit at a shallow depth of 11 miles beneath the epicenter near Fernley early afternoon on Tuesday 1 December 2020 at 3.10 pm local time. The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might be revised within the next few hours or minutes as seismologists review data and refine their calculations, or as other agencies issue their report.
