Light earthquake of magnitude 4.3 just reported 28 km southeast of Iwaki, Japan

A intermediate magnitude 4.3 earthquake was reported in the morning near Iwaki, Iwaki-shi, Fukushima, Japan.

According to NIED, the quake hit on Friday 18 December 2020 at 8:03 am local time at an intermediate depth of 88.8 km. The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might be revised within the next few hours or minutes as seismologists review data and refine their calculations, or as other agencies issue their report.
A second report was later issued by the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC), which listed it as a magnitude 4.0 earthquake.
