Light 4.6 quake hits near Rengo, Provincia de Cachapoal, O'Higgins Region, Chile

Just 13 minutes ago, a 4.6-magnitude earthquake struck near Rengo, Provincia de Cachapoal, O'Higgins Region, Chile. The tremor was recorded early afternoon on Tuesday 29 December 2020 at 2:31 pm local time, at an intermediate depth of 91 km below the surface.

The event was filed by the German Research Centre for Geosciences (GFZ), the first seismological agency to report it.
Our monitoring service identified a second report from the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) which listed the quake at magnitude 4.6 as well.
