Just 10 minutes ago, a 3.0-magnitude earthquake struck near Healy, Denali County, Alaska, USA. The tremor was recorded early morning on Monday 11 January 2021 at 2:14 am local time, at a very shallow depth of miles below the surface.
The event was filed by the United States Geological Survey (USGS), the first seismological agency to report it.
Our monitoring service identified a second report from the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) which listed the quake at magnitude 3.0 as well.
According to preliminary calculations, we do not expect that the quake was felt by many people and did not cause any damage. In McKinley Park (pop. 190, 42 miles away), and Healy (pop. 1000, 43 miles away), the quake was probably not felt.
