Light tremor of magnitude 4.3 just reported 17 km northwest of Manado, Indonesia

4.3 quake 14 Jan 6:37 pm (GMT +8)
The quake hit at an intermediate to considerable depth of 215 km beneath the epicenter near Manado, North Sulawesi, Indonesia, early evening on Thursday 14 January 2021 at 6:37 pm local time. The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might be revised within the next few hours or minutes as seismologists review data and refine their calculations, or as other agencies issue their report.
A second report was later issued by the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC), which listed it as a magnitude 3.5 earthquake.
According to preliminary calculations, we do not expect that the quake was felt by many people and did not cause any damage. In Manado (pop. 451,900, 17 km away), Tomohon (pop. 27,600, 26 km away), Laikit, Laikit II (Dimembe) (pop. 8,000, 31 km away), Tondano (pop. 33,300, 34 km away), and Bitung (pop. 137,400, 55 km away), the quake was probably not felt.
