Significant earthquake of magnitude 5.2 just reported 70 km southwest of Usulutan, El Salvador

The event was filed by the Nicaraguan Institute of Territorial Studies (INETER), the first seismological agency to report it.
Based on the preliminary seismic data, the quake should not have caused any significant damage, but was probably felt by many people as light vibration in the area of the epicenter.
Weak shaking might have been felt in Puerto El Triunfo (pop. 19,100) located 58 km from the epicenter, Jiquilisco (pop. 9,100) 59 km away, Usulutan (pop. 51,900) 70 km away, Santa Elena (pop. 5,900) 75 km away, El Transito (pop. 9,500) 78 km away, Jucuaran (pop. 1,600) 80 km away, San Rafael Oriente (pop. 19,100) 80 km away, Santiago de Maria (pop. 15,000) 81 km away, La Libertad (pop. 16,900) 85 km away, and San Salvador (pop. 526,000) 98 km away.
