Light magnitude 4.7 quake hits 88 km southeast of Aldan, Russia early morning

Our monitoring service identified a second report from the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) which listed the quake at magnitude 4.7 as well.
Based on the preliminary seismic data, the quake should not have caused any significant damage, but was probably felt by many people as light vibration in the area of the epicenter.
Weak shaking might have been felt in Kankunskiy (pop. 95) located 47 km from the epicenter, and Leninskiy (pop. 2,000) 83 km away.
Other towns or cities near the epicenter where the quake might have been felt as very weak shaking include Aldan (pop. 24,400) located 88 km from the epicenter, Nizhniy Kuranakh (pop. 6,800) 103 km away, and Tommot (pop. 9,000) 106 km away.
