Light 4.3 quake hits near Curico, Provincia de Curicó, Maule Region, Chile

A magnitude 4.3 earthquake near Curico, Provincia de Curicó, Maule Region, Chile, was reported only 23 minutes ago by the National Seismological Center of the University of Chile, considered the main national agency that monitors seismic activity in this part of the world. The earthquake occurred at an intermediate to considerable depth of 210.7 km beneath the epicenter early morning on Sunday 24 January 2021 at 1:31 am local time. The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might be revised within the next few hours or minutes as seismologists review data and refine their calculations, or as other agencies issue their report.
