An earthquake of magnitude 4.4 occurred only 20 minutes ago 85 km west of San Antonio de los Cobres, Argentina, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) reported.

The quake hit at an intermediate to considerable depth of 192 km beneath the epicenter near San Antonio de los Cobres, Departamento de Los Andes, Salta, Argentina, early evening on Saturday 27 February 2021 at 7:36 pm local time. The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might be revised within the next few hours or minutes as seismologists review data and refine their calculations, or as other agencies issue their report.
