Magnitude 4.4 earthquake strikes near Arequipa, Provincia de Arequipa, Peru

Just 20 minutes ago, a 4.4-magnitude earthquake struck near Arequipa, Provincia de Arequipa, Peru. The tremor was recorded after midnight on Friday 26 March 2021 at 12:19 am local time, at an intermediate depth of 141 km below the surface.

The event was filed by the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC), the first seismological agency to report it.
