Moderate magnitude 4.7 quake hits 65 km northeast of Dapa, Philippines after midnight

Just 33 minutes ago, a 4.7-magnitude earthquake struck near Dapa, Surigao del Norte, Caraga, Philippines. The tremor was recorded after midnight on Thursday 15 April 2021 at 12:39 am local time, at a very shallow depth of 6 km below the surface.

The event was filed by the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC), the first seismological agency to report it.
Based on the preliminary seismic data, the quake should not have caused any significant damage, but was probably felt by many people as light vibration in the area of the epicenter.
