Moderate magnitude 4.9 quake hits 100 km south of Sewon, Indonesia in the morning

Just 13 minutes ago, a 4.9-magnitude earthquake struck near Sewon, Yogyakarta, Indonesia. The tremor was recorded in the morning on Tuesday 27 April 2021 at 10:22 am local time, at a shallow depth of 10 km below the surface.

The event was filed by Indonesia's Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysical Agency, the first seismological agency to report it.
A second report was later issued by the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC), which listed it as a magnitude 4.7 earthquake.
Based on the preliminary seismic data, the quake should not have caused any significant damage, but was probably felt by many people as light vibration in the area of the epicenter.
