Moderate magnitude 4.3 quake hits 69 km northwest of Abepura, Indonesia in the morning

Just 12 minutes ago, a 4.3-magnitude earthquake struck near Abepura, Papua, Indonesia. The tremor was recorded in the morning on Thursday 6 May 2021 at 7:27 am local time, at a shallow depth of 10 km below the surface.

The event was filed by Indonesia's Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysical Agency, the first seismological agency to report it.
Our monitoring service identified a second report from the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) which listed the quake at magnitude 4.3 as well.
