Moderate magnitude 4.7 quake hits 39 km southwest of Labuan, Indonesia in the morning

4.7 quake 23 May 11:33 am (GMT +7)
Our monitoring service identified a second report from the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) which listed the quake at magnitude 4.7 as well.
Based on the preliminary seismic data, the quake should not have caused any significant damage, but was probably felt by many people as light vibration in the area of the epicenter.
Weak shaking might have been felt in Labuan (pop. 33,600) located 39 km from the epicenter, and Pandeglang (pop. 92,300) 70 km away.
Other towns or cities near the epicenter where the quake might have been felt as very weak shaking include Rangkasbitung (pop. 126,900) located 84 km from the epicenter, Serang (pop. 164,800) 85 km away, Kresek (pop. 110,200) 106 km away, and Cikupa (pop. 174,000) 115 km away.
