An earthquake of magnitude 4.5 occurred in the morning on Monday 7 June 2021 at 11:11 am local time near Kushiro, Kushiro Shi, Hokkaido, Japan, as reported by Japan's National Research Institute for Earth Science and Disaster Resilience (NIED).

According to preliminary data, the quake was located at a moderately shallow depth of 67.8 km.
