Moderate tremor of magnitude 4.3 just reported 59 km northeast of Santa Monica, Philippines

Just 19 minutes ago, a 4.3-magnitude earthquake struck near Santa Monica, Surigao del Norte, Caraga, Philippines. The tremor was recorded early morning on Thursday 17 June 2021 at 2:35 am local time, at a shallow depth of 12 km below the surface.

The event was filed by the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS), the first seismological agency to report it.
Our monitoring service identified a second report from the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) which listed the quake at magnitude 4.3 as well.
