Moderate 4.7 quake hits near Ikedachō, Miyoshi Shi, Tokushima, Japan

4.7 quake 18 Jul 2:35 pm (GMT +9)
The event was filed by Japan's National Research Institute for Earth Science and Disaster Resilience (NIED), the first seismological agency to report it.
A second report was later issued by the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC), which listed it as a magnitude 4.4 earthquake.
Based on the preliminary seismic data, the quake should not have caused any significant damage, but was probably felt by many people as light vibration in the area of the epicenter.
Weak shaking might have been felt in Ikedachō (pop. 15,900) located 13 km from the epicenter, Wakimachi (pop. 17,700) 23 km away, Kan'onjichō (pop. 44,400) 31 km away, Marugame (pop. 82,100) 37 km away, Sakaidechō (pop. 57,100) 40 km away, Kamojimachō-jōgejima (pop. 24,400) 41 km away, Ishii (pop. 26,400) 49 km away, and Tokushima (pop. 267,300) 60 km away.
