An earthquake of magnitude 4.3 occurred only 15 minutes ago 67 km north of North Lakhimpur, India, India's National Center for Seismology (NCS) reported.

The quake hit at a great depth of 381 km beneath the epicenter near North Lakhimpur, Lakhimpur district, Assam, India, early afternoon on Sunday, September 12th, 2021, at 2:45 pm local time. The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might be revised within the next few hours or minutes as seismologists review data and refine their calculations, or as other agencies issue their report.
