Moderate tremor of magnitude 4.4 just reported 93 km southwest of Tasikmalaya, Indonesia

An earthquake of magnitude 4.4 occurred in the afternoon on Tuesday, September 14th, 2021, at 4:08 pm local time near Tasikmalaya, West Java, Indonesia, as reported by Indonesia's Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysical Agency.

According to preliminary data, the quake was located at a shallow depth of 17 km. Shallow earthquakes are felt more strongly than deeper ones as they are closer to the surface.
