Moderate magnitude 4.6 quake hits 106 km northeast of Lospalos, Timor-Leste in the morning

An earthquake of magnitude 4.6 occurred only 21 minutes ago 106 km northeast of Lospalos, Timor-Leste, Indonesia's Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysical Agency reported.
The quake hit at an intermediate depth of 100 km beneath the epicenter near Lospalos, Municipio de Lautem, Timor-Leste, in the morning on Saturday, September 18th, 2021, at 10:30 am local time. The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might be revised within the next few hours or minutes as seismologists review data and refine their calculations, or as other agencies issue their report.
A second report was later issued by the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC), which listed it as a magnitude 4.6 earthquake as well.
Towns or cities near the epicenter where the quake might have been felt as very weak shaking include Lospalos (pop. 17,200) located 106 km from the epicenter.
