An earthquake of magnitude 4.8 occurred only 24 minutes ago 75 km southeast of Imphal, India, India's National Center for Seismology (NCS) reported.

The quake hit at a great depth of 750 km beneath the epicenter near Imphal, Imphal East, Manipur, India, early afternoon on Wednesday, October 13th, 2021, at 3:39 pm local time. The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might be revised within the next few hours or minutes as seismologists review data and refine their calculations, or as other agencies issue their report.
