Moderate 4.9 quake hits near Lata, Santa Cruz Islands, Temotu Province, Solomon Islands

Our monitoring service identified a second report from the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) which listed the quake at magnitude 5.1.
Based on the preliminary seismic data, the quake should not have caused any significant damage, but was probably felt by many people as light vibration in the area of the epicenter.
Weak shaking might have been felt in Lata (pop. 550) located 62 km from the epicenter.

Moderate magnitude 4.2 quake hits 33 km northwest of Arona, Spain late at night
A magnitude 4.2 earthquake near Arona, Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Canary Islands, Spain, was reported only 8 minutes ago by Spain's Instituto Geográfico Nacional (IGN), considered the main national agency that monitors seismic activity in this part of the world. The earthquake occurred at a very shallow depth of 5 km beneath the epicenter late at night on Wednesday, November 17th, 2021, at 10:58 pm local time.
