Significant earthquake of magnitude 5.1 just reported 38 km southeast of Guiria, Venezuela

An earthquake of magnitude 5.1 occurred only 11 minutes ago 38 km southeast of Guiria, Venezuela, the German Research Centre for Geosciences (GFZ) reported.
5.1 quake 7 Dec 1:15 pm (GMT -4)
The quake hit at a shallow depth of 10 km beneath the epicenter near Guiria, Municipio Valdez, Sucre, Venezuela, around noon on Tuesday, December 7th, 2021, at 1:15 pm local time. The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might be revised within the next few hours or minutes as seismologists review data and refine their calculations, or as other agencies issue their report.
Our monitoring service identified a second report from the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) which listed the quake at magnitude 5.2.
Based on the preliminary seismic data, the quake was probably felt by many people in the area of the epicenter. It should not have caused significant damage, other than objects falling from shelves, broken windows, etc.
In Guiria (pop. 40,000) located 38 km from the epicenter, the quake should have been felt as light shaking.
Weak shaking might have been felt in Mon Repos (pop. 56,400) located 80 km from the epicenter, Porto Espana (pop. 49,000) 85 km away, Chaguanas (pop. 67,400) 88 km away, and Maturin (pop. 411,000) 124 km away.
