Moderate 4.2 quake hits near Ishinomaki, Ishinomaki Shi, Honshu-miyagi-ken, Japan

An earthquake of magnitude 4.2 occurred only 12 minutes ago 61 km east of Ishinomaki, Japan, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) reported.
The quake hit at a moderately shallow depth of 60 km beneath the epicenter near Ishinomaki, Ishinomaki Shi, Honshu-miyagi-ken, Japan, early morning on Wednesday, June 15th, 2022, at 1:33 am local time. The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might be revised within the next few hours or minutes as seismologists review data and refine their calculations, or as other agencies issue their report.
A second report was later issued by Japan's National Research Institute for Earth Science and Disaster Resilience (NIED), which listed it as a magnitude 4.6 earthquake.
