Moderate earthquake of magnitude 4.1 just reported 55 miles northeast of Adak, Alaska, United States

A second report was later issued by the citizen-seismograph network of RaspberryShake, which listed it as a magnitude 4.1 earthquake as well. A third agency, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC), reported the same quake at magnitude 4.1.
According to preliminary calculations, we do not expect that the quake was felt by many people and did not cause any damage. In Adak (pop. 330, 55 miles away), the quake was probably not felt.

A magnitude 4.5 earthquake near Boca del Rio, Guasave, Sinaloa, Mexico, was reported only 27 minutes ago by Mexico's National Seismological Service (SSN), considered the main national agency that monitors seismic activity in Mexico. The earthquake occurred at a shallow depth of 15 km beneath the epicenter in the evening on Friday, August 5th, 2022, at 8:15 pm local time.
