The event was filed by India's National Center for Seismology (NCS), the first seismological agency to report it.
Towns or cities near the epicenter where the quake might have been felt as very weak shaking include Ishqoshim (pop. 26,000) located 25 km from the epicenter, Ashkāsham (pop. 12,100) 32 km away, and Khandūd (pop. 5,500) 45 km away. In Khorugh (pop. 30,000, 90 km away), Khorugh (pop. 30,000, 90 km away), and Jurm (pop. 12,100, 95 km away), the quake was probably not felt.
