A moderately shallow magnitude 5.2 earthquake was reported in the afternoon near Tsukuba, Tsukuba-shi, Ibaraki, Japan.

According to Japan's National Research Institute for Earth Science and Disaster Resilience (NIED), the quake hit on Wednesday, November 9th, 2022, at 5:40 pm local time at a moderately shallow depth of 51.5 km.
