A second report was later issued by Austria's Central Research Institute for Meterology and Geodynamics in Vienna (ZAMG), which listed it as a magnitude 2.9 earthquake. Other agencies reporting the same quake include the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) at magnitude 2.8, and the citizen-seismograph network of RaspberryShake at magnitude 2.8.
Towns or cities near the epicenter where the quake might have been felt as very weak shaking include Pozza di Fassa (pop. 1,500) located 2 km from the epicenter, Santa Cristina Valgardena (pop. 1,500) 15 km away, Selva (pop. 1,600) 15 km away, Urtijëi (pop. 4,300) 16 km away, and Kastelruth (pop. 1,500) 17 km away. In Ziano di Fiemme (pop. 1,700, 18 km away), Deutschnofen (pop. 1,500, 19 km away), Renon - Ritten (pop. 7,000, 20 km away), and Chiusa (pop. 2,500, 24 km away), the quake was probably not felt.
