Small magnitude 2.8 earthquake 12 miles southwest of Beltana, Australia

Our monitoring service identified a second report from the citizen-seismograph network of RaspberryShake which listed the quake at magnitude 2.8 as well. A third agency, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC), reported the same quake at magnitude 2.8.
Towns or cities near the epicenter where the quake might have been felt as very weak shaking include Beltana (pop. 26) located 12 miles from the epicenter. In Warraweena (pop. 20, 23 miles away), Blinman (pop. 63, 25 miles away), and Leigh Creek (pop. 270, 26 miles away), the quake was probably not felt.
