Significant 5.0 quake hits near Alaska City, Anchorage, Alaska, USA

An earthquake of magnitude 5.0 occurred only 6 minutes ago 12 miles northwest of Alaska City, Alaska, United States, the United States Geological Survey reported.
The quake hit at a moderately shallow depth of 22 miles beneath the epicenter near Alaska City, Anchorage, Alaska, USA, early afternoon on Thursday, November 17th, 2022, at 3:03 pm local time. The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might be revised within the next few hours or minutes as seismologists review data and refine their calculations, or as other agencies issue their report.
